Sarah loves to work with kids and has had a
passion for working with them since before starting nursing
school. She fell in love with nursing as a career in middle school, both
because of how much she enjoyed science, but also for the opportunity to
help others during some of their greatest times of need. Her first
position was in the PICU where she enjoyed working with children and
their families. When she decided to complete her master's
degree she decided to specialize in Pediatrics since she could not envision
working with any other population. Sarah loves working with families to be
healthy together. Each stage of childhood has its own challenges, and she
enjoys working with all of them. She cannot imagine a greater calling than
helping children, whether sick or with preventative care. "We all know
parenting is hard, so if I have the chance to encourage parents along the way I
find that to be an additional perk of my job," Sarah explains as a mother
herself. Sarah and her husband, Brian, have been married for 25+
years. They have 5 children, ranging from tweens to adults. They are
active in their church and love to spend time together on the weekends and
in the evenings. They enjoy being outdoors. Sarah enjoys being physically
active and strives to be the best version of herself in whatever
circumstance she is in.
